LIT设计奖创立于2017年，旨在表彰国际杰出的照明产品设计师和照明实践者。 照明是一门艺术也是一门科学，是设计最重要的元素之一。 LIT设立之初衷是为了表彰照明产品及其应用的创造力和创新性。
主办方Farmani集团自1985年成立以来，始终致力于通过举办竞赛、奖项、展览会，在全世界内策划和推广摄影业、设计业和建筑业的发展，主办了一系列知名的国际赛事，这中间还包括国际设计大奖(IDA)、法国Px3国际摄影奖、伦敦国际创意奖、以及全球最负盛名之年度摄影奖之一的露西摄影奖，以此发掘和宣传在这些领域的人才。
达观国际设计、光湖普瑞照明设计、TS倘思照明设计、Fang Fang、谱迪设计顾问等设计企业凭借其优秀的设计作品成功拿下奖项殊荣。 其中，上海KLID达观国际设计事务所获得本届LIT照明设计奖大满贯，凭借多个项目揽获5个奖项荣誉。
